The blessings just keep on coming. My day began with taking sixteen 8th graders to visit a nursing home. The activity director paired them with a resident. Of course they were a little nervous at first to go up and speak to them, so it was a good thing they had a partner; however, after visiting just a short time, they began to warm up to them, and I had to force some of them to leave. It was such a joy to see my students behave and bring a little sunshine into the lives of those people.
Next, Noel had a great report from the eye doctor and is able to return to work without any restrictions. He also removed some of the sutures that kept bothering him and making him cranky. That is good news for all of us! Also, his vision appears to be returning to normal.
Finally, the insurance report came in the mail today, and we only have about $600 left to pay out of our pocket. I count this as a blessing because with two surgeries we could have been looking at a whole lot more.
The evening is still young with time left for many other blessings to come.
