Mirror Image

The challenge for today is to visit a particular website, look at the picture provided, and use the picture as a writing prompt.   The picture that popped up for me is located at this website:  http://www.creativity-portal.com/becreative/activities/coloring.page.mirror.image.html.  It is titled “Mirror Image.”  I tried every way I could to provide the picture for you to see here on my blog but couldn’t get it to upload.

I studied this picture for a long time trying to determine the lesson God was trying to teach me today, and I think He’s telling me that when I look into that mirror, there’s a lot of good stuff reflecting back, and that I need to start paying more attention to the good that’s inside my heart, let the world see that heart, and stop trying to get everything perfect before letting go.  I need to get rid of the old tapes that play in my head of not being good enough.  I reflect the nature of God because I have been made in His image!

Blessings,
Penny

  1. Those old tapes get worn, garbled and eventually break...toss 'em. The more you look and think on it, the more you'll understand. Hopefully it won't take you as long as it has me but hey, whenever? It's a God Thing and He knows what we're made of...just takes us a little longer to catch on but then He doesn't keep time like you and I. Great thoughts from a Great writer and friend...

  4. Dear Penny, I am so proud to know the woman you have become and keep growing into. To have known you as a newborn and to see you now is inspiring. I love you, though I rarely get to see you, and will keep reading your blog so I can know you better. xoxoxoxo Paula
